I don't know why i started this thread, i thought i would document my pregnancy let you all know how i'm getting on, i know there's a baby support thread but meh what the heck :) I'm 27 weeks pregnant.
At 20 weeks i found out i was having a baby boy and I've named him, Joshua Dean Hall. I've always loved the name Joshua, the middle name Dean is quite a personal thing and Hall is the fathers last name.
I have had quite a few complications with the pregnancy. I had placenta previa at 16 weeks but it sorted itself out when i got to 20 weeks (thank gawd) then at 22 weeks up until now I've been in and out of labour and was on bed rest for about a week luckily they managed to stop the labour and diagnose an incomplete cervix so i'm expected to deliver earlier than usual instead of it being 12/13 weeks time, it might be 7 but he could last full term who knows but i hope he just doesn't come now, i want him to stay in there as long as possible lol! My expected due date was 3rd July.
Joshua is 2lbs 2oz at the moment.

hey hun i've had friends with cervical problems although ther's was incompetent cervix and they had to have a stitch put in to hold it closed and loads of bedrest, i myself was in labour with ella from 31 weeks onwards luckily it wasn't painful and they managed to settle the contractions down and i had to have loads of extra checks and keep taking top up doses of the medication to delay labour, she came 5days early in the end which is longer than my first (18 days early). i've also got a friend (can you tell i'm a member of a fertility problems forum?) who has had all 3 of her babies at 21weeks gestation and all 3 survived albeit with some problems (smaller than average, poor appetites, low immune systems) and are something like 7, 5 and 1 now.
sounds like you're in the best hands anyway, my friend was undiagnosed because all 3 labours were sponataneous waters breaking and a baby within 30mins, all normal up until that point.
anyhow sounds like things are going better now, what's the betting little man gets comfy and refuses to come out of his own accord? lol.

Thankyou for reassuring me Mandimoo, i'm a little worried (as you probably can imagine) for him to be arriving early but your story has reassured me that's its ok. I'm glad your little one and your friends children are all fine. :)

Pregnancys going fine, i'm 32 weeks now eeeek! its getting closer and closer everyday. :/ was put on bedrest 2/3 weeks ago for a week and half yet again but i'm fine now and they managed to keep him in there yet again.

Sorry i haven't updated haha! I've either been to busy or to lazy.
Well i'm due in a weeks time and i can't explain how nervous, scared but excited i am.
I had a midwife appointment last Friday and it showed i was 1.5cm dilated had another appointment Monday and i'm 4cm dilated now.
Have another appointment Thursday there keeping a close eye on me after all my complications.
Having loads of painful contractions but can't go in til my contractions are 3-5mins.
Me and esp midwife and doctor are really surprised i made it to the end of pregnancy as we all thought he'd be early, thankgawd he stayed in there a little while longer he's a little fighter.
Next time i update this i will be showing you my little bundle of joy haha! :) woooo!
