Panic can be terrifying. I so hope that the doctor can help and reassure you.

Panic is awful. Try not to let your imagination run wild. I hope the doctor helps - ask lots of questions and make sure you feel satisfied with what they tell you.

Hey darlin, I've been facebooking you and stuff. But this is ALL manageable. I think if you really commit to the lifestyle change that everything will improve. *cuddles* You know where I am :)

thank you guys.

I'm sorry I'm just now updating. I am feeling much better. I test my sugar once a day unless I start to feel bad and then he wants me to check it again. I am taking a pill for now to help but he insists that I can completely come off meds if I lose the weight. Today has been my best so far concerning blood sugar :) Things have started off good. I'm not going to die :)

loves.

That's good to hear. :)
Is it metformin you take? My Dad takes it for borderline type 2 diabetes [non weight connected], and it keeps things under control for him.

Have had diabetes since I was 4, hun. It is a life sentence, but by no means a death sentance.

The metformin is a good drug and I know lots of people who get on fine with it. I am type 1 myself, so have 4-5 injections a day, and 1 tablet sounds much simpler (jealous much?)

Am around if you need to chat it through.

Type 2 diabetes can actually go away. It's not a life sentance like type 1.

But you always/have to be careful because it can recur, I was told once a diabetic always a diabetic, just type 2 can be controlled by diet and weight loss if you lose that control you start having the symptoms of diabetes again.
