I NEED HELP

I can't stop these feelings they are just getting worse. I've been battling depression since I was little but I've kept it hidden. I don't even know what the cause is bit it's getting worse. The only person I can talk to about it is my best friend but he lives 9 hours away and I don't want to trouble him about it or let him know it's started again. There's not much he can do from so far away. I'm afraid that one day it will get to much for me and I need help. My moms really sick and I can't add on more to her worries. Can someone please help me?!

Hey there Wolfprincess,
It sounds like you are struggling a lot right now and I'm sorry to hear it.
I hear that you don't want to worry your mother as she is unwell, but surely she would rather know and try to help than see you go into crisis or have you do something to yourself. Do you have any professional support? It sounds like some therapy could be useful to you in managing your feelings. I really urge you to seek some support, from your friend, your mother ir a therapist.
Is there anything you would like to talk about that has been upsetting you?
Ash

Dear Ash:
The thing is that my mom has enough things to worry about and stress makes it worse. I don't want her to blame herself for how I feel. I've been talking to the school counselor a bit but not much.
Right now the main thing bothering me is the worry that my moms cancer might be back, and the fact that my health has been slowly getting worse over the last 4 years.

I'm sorry you're feeling so alone. Please talk to your best friend. They will always want to hear from you about how you're feeling - you won't be bothering them, because I'm sure they love you and want to help. Is it worth talking to your mom / doctor about your health fears? It's always worth hearing it from the person itself, or at least getting a professional opinion rather than letting yourself get worried and anxious. I hope you're able to talk to someone close to you about you're feeling, you shouldn't be alone.

WolfPrincess,
I know you are worried about your mum but I'm sure she would want to help. Therapy could be very beneficial for you, could you look into that? In the meantime can you talk to your school counsellor more frequently? I think you need the support.
