I am currently:
am a little bit worried

tomorrow i am going to meet a cpn to see if having 1 would be helpful to me (they told me on the phone i should get 1). i am scared because the out patients where i have to go have never helped me in the past so whats to say they will now ? some of the people i have seen have said some really hurtful unhelpful things ..what if this is just another 1 of them times what if it makes things worse again ..i told my doctor i didn't want to go there again but he just dosnt listen ..i want to hide away

I think you should go, it might turn out something to be really helpful for you. Just because they haven't been helpful in the past doesn't mean they won't be now. Hopefully you will see someone new too. Best of luck with it

I can appreciate how scary it must be for you after having bad experiences in the past but I do think it's important you go tomorrow. Try and view it as a fresh start. Your new CPN could be fantastic at their job and be a real help in your recovery. If you don't go, you will never find out. I can understand the fear of them potentially making it worse but the likelihood of this happening is very small. There is a much bigger chance of you gaining something from this. x

In my experience, CPN's tend to come across in a much more friendly and approachable manner than psychiatric doctors x
