There are lots of things that can be fairtrade and lots of things that can be made of rubber.
of all the fairtrade, rubber-based products in the world I never would have thought of Fairtrade condoms.
I'm quite environmentally minded but I can't say I've ever worried that my protection was eco friendly.
FYI, I was looking for fairtrade products when I found this, not condoms.

Even condoms are made somewhere, the rubber and such they use has to be sourced somewhere; why not a farmer who is getting a fair deal for the products he is spending his livelihood producing?
I know it seems weird and almost extreme to start with, but when you really think about it, is it any weirder than companies paying farmers for their cotton for fair trade fashion or cocoa for the fair trade chocolate? :)

damn, thinking about them almost makes me want to bring my penis out of retirement......ummmmmm anyway.....you know apparently fairtrade stuff isnt as awesome as it sounds, like there are kids working on fairtrade certified farms and stuff. not that it isnt still better than non fairtrade stuff, but yeah, its nowhere near perfect.
