Stickied threads? [Tell your secrets / Serious]

Okay, so there is [this] thread, but seeing as it's from 2007, I thought I'd start a new one rather than bump it.

I was wonder if it was possible to sticky the "Tell your secrets" thread? I know it's simmilar to the "Say here what you can't say to someone" thread, but they are different. One's more about things you'd like to say to a person, and the other is things you can't say.

Most of the time, I post in the say here thread instead of the secrets thread because I can't be bothered to scroll through pages and find it, even though my post would be more suited in the secrets thread.

Anyway, long story short. Can it be sticked? Or do other people feel it's not necessary?

(I realise the conclusion of the old thread was to merge the threads and change the title. I don't know whether people would prefer that? Personally, I'd like both threads sticky'd, but I wonder what other people thought?)

At the minute we (The Community Team) are trying to limit/cut down on the number of stickies (you've probably noticed a few stickies being removed and left as normal threads over the last few months).

The reason behind this is because a lot of stickies aren't used as much as intended, and therefore if a thread is unstickied but still used a lot then it will keep itself bumped. I think this is the case of the threads you are talking about - if a lot of people or enough people use it for it warranted to be stickied, then it will keep itself bumped and there isn't a need for it to be permenetly stickied at the top of the page.

If you have to scroll through pages to find it, it would suggest that there isn't a lot of people using it so there is no need for it to be stickied as it would just be using up the first page and possibly making other [more serious?] threads to be knocked off the page.

I'm unsure changing the title will help.. people who use the thread a lot will get confused.

Perhaps if you subscribe to the thread then instead of going through pages to find the thread, you can just go into control panel, and then subscription list to find it easier?
