Would you eat Genetically Modified food? Just wondering on people's opinions. I will give my opinion later as I don't want to influence other people's opinions.
PM me if you want a PDF copy of the ICD-10or the Mental Health Act 1983/2007. I ALSO HAVE THE DSM-V BOOK and am a pharmacology student.
I have a visual impairment / neurological problems so I need people to type in clear text and no funny fonts. Also excuse any typos, my vision blocks things out.
I have autism and have problems communicating, PMs included.
Just becasue I type well doesn't mean I speak well. I am only part time verbal.
I think I will research too before I say anything.

I don't know much about it, but pretty much anything we eat now is genetically modified, yes? For example, chicken "farms" have altered chickens, making their breasts larger and their growth rate significantly faster than normal.
Nous avons abrité tous les rêves du monde,
Et c'est dans le soleil que nous avons grandi.
Selective breeding is technically genetic modification, just in a more long term less controlled way, as is basic evolution, so as long as direct genetic manipulation doesn't lead to the food being harmful I don't see any problem eating it
The Telegraph article I read said they don't know much about the health effects of it yet. But I'd assume it was relatively safe if it had made it to the supermarket shelves.. or
Perhaps naively.
Stop thinking about what I want, what he wants, what your parents want. What do you want?

Yes, I agree.

Most food has been genetically modified in some way for years, some changes are necessary to be able to feed the planet, but some go too far I think. 'Genetic modification' covers quite a wide variety of things so it can be difficult to know whats been done or not.
I think GM can be a good thing when used properly, but can also be a bad thing if it's not.
One of the biggest problems is that GM crops can be patented. Due to this 3 large companies now control 70% of the worlds seed sales, effectively setting themselves up as a global monopoly on crop production.
There's also the increased dependence on chemical pesticides and herbicides, a situation that really came to light in Argentina where the soils on agricultural lands were effectively sterilised to the point that dead plant matter ceased to rot any more: http://www.guardian.co.uk/science/2004/apr/16/gm.food
Some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money.
They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with.
Some men just want to watch the world burn.
People often try and scare me and be like 'Do you actually know what goes into the stuff you're eating?' and yes, I do. No, I don't really care as long as it tastes okay.
*shrug*
Now I'll play your ghost as my ace, whenever I'm led astray.
But I am actually good, can't help it if we're tilted.
I'm in my right place, don't be a downer.
As long as it is done in a humane way that doesn't harm the environment, and won't kill you then I think it's a good thing, If it lowers the price of food and helps to feed more people then surely the benefits out-way the costs.
I was just wondering as I saw a "no GM ingredients" label on something and I thought it was a bit silly.
