Was drinking and started seeing things?
I don't know what happened, I've drunk way more than that before and never had this happen. It all started because my mom had some friends over for the afternoon and they were all drinking wine and vodka. I had some rum in the freezer and drank that, but on my 4th drink I started feeling weird. I remember trying to look at my alarm clock but it just kept flashing all these different times and when I walked over to the washroom the pictures in the hall keep flashing different pictures in the frames. It would go from Van Gogh to Monet to Davinci to Michelangelo. The color of the paint on the walls kept changing everytime I looked away. My cat kept flashing between different breeds too. It was really scary because I've never seen things before drunk or sober. It's stopped now that I've sobered up but it left me scared, I'm worried that it'll happen next time I drink too. Is it common for people to see things when they're drunk? Is this something I should tell my psych?
I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place I didn't know if it belonged here or in the substance abuse forum.

I don't know about drunk, but I had quite bad hallucinations when my medication got changed to chlopromazine and risperidone. It cleared up after a week or so. Are you on meds? It may be that, or the reaction between meds and drink?

To say I'm completely devoid of morals, would be harsh. Although I would have to admit I find it difficult to give a ****.

Nope no meds, I didn't do anything out of the ordinary today either. It was weird though, I've never gotten so drunk so quick and I only had 4 drinks.

I suffer from hallucinations and they get worse when I drink. Were you drinking something different to what you usually drink? Also what was your mind like when you were getting drunk - were you down or upset or anything?
It might be worth talking to your doctor about it, but I think people do occasionally get hallucinations when drinking even when they don't get them when sober.

Of course I'm sane, when trees start talking to me, I don't talk back.

0i was gonna say your ability to distinguish between fact and reality is indicative of a non psychotic state. Can I ask how often you drink? Sometimes long term alcohol use can damage the brain and lead to episodes like this. As can drinking merge than usual, drinking in an empty stomach, drinking while Ill and the link. I d suggest seeing your doctor though

Yeah..so I found out that my moms friend put something in my drink because she knew I wouldn't take it if she offered me some. They thought I needed to loosen up a little because I'm always so uptight and anti-drug and stuff. I'm kind of furious at her for basically drugging me, I never liked her in the first place. Apparently they were doing it too and were all drunk so they thought it would be a good idea to "slip" me some. I'm not sure exactly what it was, I just over heard my mom on the phone talking to her friend earlier. So now I know why I was seeing things and I'm never ever going to leave my drink unattended at all ever again even in my own house...
