100km London to Brighton walk.

My friend C is going to do this with me:

http://www.london2brightonchallenge.com/?gclid=COacqPfg1qwCFYYOfAodMyEmrQ

I can't wait to do this!

Does anyone else here like long-distance walking/running/cycling/swimming?

I am also starting my training for the 50km endurance cross-country race.

I really love endurance sports, does anyone else?

PM me if you want a PDF copy of the ICD-10 or the Mental Health Act 1983/2007. I ALSO HAVE THE DSM-V BOOK and am a pharmacology student.

I have a visual impairment / neurological problems so I need people to type in clear text and no funny fonts. Also excuse any typos, my vision blocks things out.
I have autism and have problems communicating, PMs included.
Just becasue I type well doesn't mean I speak well. I am only part time verbal.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh sounds good. I'm glad it's a walk not a run! *dies*

I shall mention this to my Everest group - tis a good fundraising idea. Not sure if I'd be able to do it as it's exam time but some of my group may want to :)

Imperfection is underrated.

It's only one day long so it should be ok. I'm glad you like it.

Unfortunately C is rubbish at running, otherwise I'd walk 80km and then run the last 20km.

I can't wait to get to a level of fitness where I'm ready to do the 50km endurance run.

I used to be in the London secondary schools' cross-country team. But then I sustained a knee injury which had me out of running for months (that was hard as I'm addicted to running), and then I had loads of hospital admissions to the psych ward.

But now I am rebuilding my fitness :)

I remember one nurse on the ward saying to me (when I was there) that it's great that I'm running as it really helps me with my mental health.

A 60 mile bike ride on the other hand I'd jump at the chance to do. It's about time I got out and did another long bike ride; been far too long since my last one. (I keep telling myself I'll get round to doing the 105 mile ride to Gloucester one of these days )
Long bike rides sound good. I was first taught how to cycle at 8 years old and I still can't ride a bike that well (I was first introduced to swimming at 3 years and my mum kept forcing me to swim all my childhood, yet I still can't swim).

BUT walking is great, and running is even better. I'm doing the walk with my friend, which will help. But running I do best alone.

Thanks all lol :)

I think it will take us 20-21 hours. I expect to be in pain afterwards but it's worth it.

The endurance run will be better though ;)
