Doctors in an hour.....scared much?

Long story short, loads of people have said I could be bipolar. I did a few test things online and they said I could be bipolar as well and to go to the doctors and get it checked out. Got an appointment in an hour and I am ******** it. I don't know what to say to the doctor. I'm worried he'll think I'm lying or overexaggerating.
I find it hard enough telling people I have depression, what if I have bipolar?
I've been putting this off for ages and I'm tempted to just not go because I'm scared of what will happen :(

Good luck!!! Go, there's nothing that could go wrong- either you may be bipolar and will need further assessment etc by psych, and will be on the way to gettin g help you need- or you're not bipolar and cary on gettin hlp and suppor and at least you know!!

Plus online tests aren't enough to base your worries on... I know what it's like wanting to just avoid doc's for fear of news/ of being taken unseriously.

I went. And he said I have to see a CPN. Broke down crying in there as well, felt so stupid. So I'm getting a letter from the CPN sometime next week and then I have to ring up for an appointment. Not looking forward to it at all

Any diagnoses is good, means you can be treated correctly. I have bipolar and the right "label" has helped with meds and treatment.

I've already told them I don't want meds. Been on them for my depression for nearly 2 years and I came off them cos I ended up relying on them for everything, I don't want to get like that again :) Just gotta wait for the letter from the CPN and then we'll see what happens :)

I'm trying not to think about it too much cos I know it'll make me feel horrible and this is the first time in ages I've not felt like crap lol. Still a bit nervous about it but I expect I will be until I find out what's going on :) xx
