My ex partner raped one of my best friends at the weekend.
I'm in shock I feel sick, I can't sleep and I can't stop crying.
It's bring back painful memories for me but also someone I still love and was going to give it another go with has done this!
I don't know what to say.

That's horrible! Is she ok? Can you report it to the police and make sure she's not hurt badly? *hugs close* It's not your fault, and I'm sure you can help your friend though this.

That must be such a horrible situation to be in, I'm really sorry that you're having to deal with it.
It sounds like you are being a brilliant friend and doing all you can. Hopefully given a little time and your support she'll feel able to get some help with this; just keep encouraging her to do so. Is there anyone else who's aware of what's happened, so it isn't all falling on you? You have no reason to feel guilty, you're doing really well.
Please make sure that you're looking after yourself as well. I can really relate to finding it hard to support a friend through an experience like that because of your own experiences, and that does not make you a bad friend! You need to make sure you're looking after yourself and have support as well if you need it.
