Rejected from therapy
I know I haven't been on these forums for a long time, so I understand if you don't want to respond, I think I was quite ill when I last out posts up here. Staying away from the website has helped, I find reading about others problems does make it worse sometimes, but I need to wrote about this.
I just need to write about this, get it out in some way.
i had my 3rd meeting with a psychiatrist who was offering to do something similar to DBT. Think it was MBT.
Anyways. Part of the criteria is that you have to have BPD. Which I do. But the psychiatrist has decided I have too many problems and fears because there isn't a full service in my area that I would need the group work and a lot more support. So I understand what she is saying, that she doesn't want to risk giving me the therapy because it will be too hard for me and the risk of me becoming suicidal is too high.
I have just lost the hope I had. I tried. I tried so hard, and basically to be told no your past is too much to delve into (a past I barely remember!) And that my paranoia means I can't engage fully. Just excuse after excuse. I am seeing another psychiatrist tomorrow and they have been warned that this is what I was being told today. I think its a test. They want to see if I'll cut, or go off the walls. Stressed, upset etc etc.
I just dono what I should be doing. They want me to get more practical help from a CPN (I used to have one but I have moved to another area) and possibly OT (which I was supposed to get when I got out of hospital, but got kicked out of my flat so have no idea if any letters were sent regarding that!)
I am just chilling out by myself, watching films, going to make my dinner. But I was just shocked by this today, and it has put me off kilter.
Thanks,
Devil Girl.
