Logging In Problems

For the last week-ish whenever I've logged in it's taken me at least 5 times. I've tried pressing redirect browser, sometimes that helps but mostly it still goes back to me not being logged in. Then on the 5th/6th/10th time it lets me log in. Tonight it brought up a screen saying I had used up one of my login attempts and didn't have the correct password (even though I could see my mood at the side, so it seems half logged in half not). I clicked on Forums and it let me on. (I always click 'keep me signed in' box too in case it's got anything to do with that).

Was wondering why it's doing this & was thinking one time it might not let me log back in at all. I have recently requested a new password (just before this problem started) because it wouldn't let me log on with the same one it had worked with the day before (I hadn't been here for several months but it worked when I first came back).

Thankyou for the suggestion, recently I've been clearing cookies everyday, sometimes several times, because of sharing my computer. I thought this maybe added to the problem, because it's started happening around the same time

I'm not sure, once I've deleted the cookies & history it doesn't remember the site when I go to type it in the tool bar
I usually use Google Chrome, just logged on in Mozilla & had no problem. Take a bit of getting used to but glad it's working ok now!

Looks like I'm still having the same problem, now with Firefox too, and now it also does the same when I try to log out. That takes more than 5 times too.

Not that I know of, this has just started happening recently, just after I asked for a new password because it wouldn't let me log on with the original & gave the message of 5 login attempts used up. This is different though because it lets me carry on attempting to log in even after 5 have been used up.

Is cookies tied up with history? Because I delete the history on Chrome (which has an option within it to clear cookies too) but decided not to on Firefox to see if that was the problem but it's happening with both.

So how do you normally delete cookies and do I need to delete the cache?
This is what comes up for me when I open up history & click 'edit items'

Obliterate the following items from:
Clear browsing history
Clear download history
Empty the cache
Delete cookies and other site and plug-in data
Clear saved passwords
Clear saved Autofill form data

I click all of them & choose the option clear browsing data 'since the beginning of time'.

I'm now back in Google Chrome because Firefox wasn't letting me log in at all and was giving me more trouble than Chrome. How do you find privacy settings? I will try and do that with both. Sorry for all the questions, I am not very good with computers!

I've just done a lot of searching round Google Chrome but couldn't find how to add it to a privacy safe list and started reading about cookies and about them and certain sites but it was a bit confusing. Then it logged me out so I went to Firefox and eventually signed in, went back to close my Chrome window that said I was a guest and it had me as signed in again! Think whenever it plays up I'll just have to keep switching between the two, & hope that one day it doesn't stop me from logging in completely and that it lets me log out when I need. Thanks for all your help, really appreciate it
