Taking medication for the first time :S
Think this is gonna sound really stupid but I was recently given Citalopram from my doctor and I haven't taken it yet. It's the first time been given medication for MH stuff and had decided today would be the day I would start take it but I feel really nervous bout doing it. I know I'm just hyping it up in my head and I should just get over it n just do it but I can't.
I know I should take it cos it's there to help but it's just the initial taking the first one that's gettin to me...?
Has anyone else experienced this?
Sorry for asking stupid questions :S

firstly there are no stupid questions!
dont worry, it will be fine and hopefully it will help you in the long run. i was worried about starting on citalopram aswell. it was fine though, it did make me feel a bit funny for a couple of days... just a bit of a headache and a bit tired but that went away and i could really feel it start working after about a week. just be brave! good luck xxx

Would it help to think of it more like taking a medication for a phsycical problem, such as a head-ache. You know it is there to help you deal with a certain symptom and you also know that taking it is better than sitting suffering without it.
I hope you are able to take it, and that in doing so, you can take the step towards getting the help you need.
Be gentle with yourself.

Try not to over-think it and just take it. With me it was the not taking it that made my situation far, far worse. It may make life a little easier.
