Well, you could always come right out and tell your doctor you feel you've been misdiagnosed and give your reasons why.
You could also ask for a referral for an assessment. By either saying you feel you may have been misdiagnosed or because you feel things have changed over the years and you need to be re-assessed.
Another route you could take is talking to your doctor about either raising your medication or switching to a new medication based on your current symptoms.

perhaps it's not an issue about being misdiagnosed but rather an issue around finding the appropriate medication to assist you. medication affects everyone differently, and yes even if they once worked they can stop and things need to be changed.
have you spoken with your doctor about your feelings on this medication, and now that you have stopped taking them? I think its good to have an honest conversation about this, they can't do anything if they don't know what you are experiencing. I do think that you need to be open to having a conversation about this and hearing your doctor's side of things as well. I doubt non-compliance with be considered you have the right to express yourself.
best of luck.
