The hardest thing I have ever done

I wasn't sure whether to put this in the serious forum or not, but decided here as I AM ok, not suicidal right now and am coping...ish.

I have been ill/self harming/had an ED for 11 years...I have survived abuse of all kinds, lost a family member to suicide, been IP 3 times, moved 300 miles away from friends and family, been through countless withdrawls...

But this particular withdrawl has been the hardest thing I have ever done, and I am only 2.5 weeks in. I'm practically bed-ridden from the physical side effects and pain, my GP is fantastic and supplying me with lots of strong painkillers but it is SO hard, I had to have the emergency dr out at midnight on Sunday because the side effects were unbearable and I can't even attend my weekly support group because I can't trust my body to walk thete and sit upright for 2 hours. I'm also due to move out of supported housing in a month and I can't start getting ready and packed etc...

Sorry for the moan :(

im sorry you're feeling so ill right now, but getting free is really important and will ultimately lead to you feeling better.

do you have anyone who could come over and keep you company? sometimes having someone else around can help.

this is my magical medicine cabinet. Left to right they contain: courage, hope, calmness, and strength.

The magical part: They NEVER run out, so borrow some any time you want.

Feel free to write, that's what the site's for!

I see from your R+V thread that you're coming of Venlafaxine and Olanzapine. Venlafaxine withdrawals are nasty, not experienced Olanzapine, but coming off 2 drugs at once is bound to be hard.

I'm glad your Gp is good though - makes a big difference.

Does the psychiatrist know the extent of problems this is causing, and that you have this big move soon? Good to keep him in the picture in case he wants to take you off them a bit slower.
