Contains sexual abuse - have i done the right thing?

i was sexually abused/assulted when i was in my early years at secondary school.

told someone i recieve support of a few months ago (like 10 yrs after it happened) but have never told the police ect
though last week i was somewhere that reminded me of the abuser on a residential. now everythings going through my mind a bit



have i done the right thing by not involving the police?

*hugs close* I believe anytime someone hurts another that badly they deserve to be punished. But telling the police is a personal choice. You can probably still do it if you want to, although with that many years passed it would be difficult to prove. Even if you don't go to the police, counseling and therapy should help you with it. *hugs more* Good luck.
