I am currently:
Anti D's

I was on a high dose of Citalopram for a while and it was extremely helpful for my mood & depression but it made my sleep worse, even with sleeping tablets & Quetiapine. I switched to 30mg Mirtazapine which has improved my sleep but not done much for my mood. I'm reluctant to go back on Citalopram because I really need sleep but my mood is just so low right now.

Any thoughts/ideas? I am going to discuss this with my psych but I don't see him for another few weeks.

Sleep worse? Slept more/Slept less/Broken sleep?

Which sleeping tablets are you on with the Quetiapine? Cause in some people, like myself that can be quite sedating.

What were you like on the lower doses of Citalopram?

When did you take the Citalopram? (i.e morning, night, split throughout the day)

I took the Citalopram in the morning, I've been on every sleeping tablet (Zopiclone, Promethazine, Amitriptyline, Tempepam etc.), I wasn't on the lower dose for long at all, I think I got bumped up to the maximum within a couple of weeks.

The main problem with my sleep was nightmares & flashbacks throughout the night so it wouldn't be restful at all and I would constantly wake up panicking. It's hard to me to get to sleep and stay asleep & I wake up a lot.

Can you go back to the doctor and tell them what you've told us ie the original post.. maybe they can look at giving you something different that could help with both mood and sleep. Although quatipine if really useful for sleep.
