I think everyone struggles with controll up to a certain point and it is to do with our own personal boundaries and how we feel secure in our day to day life. There are certain things that will always be out of our controll and it is not healthy to become obsessional or overly concerned about it.
In your case, it sounds like you feel like you are not being involved. Perhaps you can sit down with your manager and ask what has been discussed, it may be that they are not discussing you as much as you think - but it is surely better to check than to wonder if. Do try not to worry about it too much, employers have a duty of care for their employees, so they do need to check with your Dr how best they can support you.
You have a right to know what is being discussed and can request a copy of anything your Dr or they have sent. Do sit down with your manager/HR contact though and talk it through with them, as I think this is likely to help put your mind at ease.
Be gentle with yourself. Letting work know about such incredibly personal matters is always distressing at first, and I imagine this was very hard for you. So, allow yourself that transition between hiding things, and being more open and let them know that this is something you are working on.
