I was a little offended that it's all americanised, but i did love it :)

Previously unicorn-tears
In a burst of light that blinded every angel
As if the sky had blown the heavens into stars
You felt the gravity of tempered grace,
falling into empty space
With no-one there to catch you in their arms

It took to the last few mins of the episode to get one overhead shot of Cardiff :( That would have been in the very first few seconds in previous series!
I also miss Ianto, Owen (the real one, not Jack's fake FBI name!) and Tosh. Pft.
I dunno, it was okay, I think I would have thought a lot more of it were it a new show and not SO far removed from how it used to be back in Series 1 & 2.
Some serious TV show evolution...

I would have liked it if there were some explanation of the previous series. For some reason I never watched it and was pretty lost. Also dislike the American-bias. I thought the reason Americans liked Doctor Who/Torchwood was because it was quirky and British.

i don't think its that bad, though it is hard to get used to it being set out of wales...i miss the hub!
BUT it might be good for the show, they needed new team members from somewhere (thank god they didn't think oh lets use andy and reece!)
having seen epsiode 2 already,it seems to be building up to something big...the characters of the unofficial new torchwood can (if Rt davis is the master genius he can be) work really well....
im a die hard torchwood fan, well i have a lot of series im die hard about...if the episode of whatever im watching doent leave me HAVING to see the next one,its not my thang, but this new series (along witht the old) does that...
remember change can be a good thing?!?

I missed the 1st 15 minutes of it; it was alright but I personally felt it was a bit too Americanised.
I've only seen the 1st series of Tourchwood; I think I'd probably enjoy miracle day a lot more if I'd seen all previous series.

American money means a more americanised show *nods*. They love Torchwood a lot more in America than they love doctor who anyhow.
