Shhhh, I just want to rest
How can I self harm tonight?
all I need to do is think
I don’t need to touch a knife
Or even a stiff drink
No need to prepare bandages
Or wet the cloths I use
I wish I could clean up my thoughts
Like the body I abuse
The scars I made that stain my skin
Will heal and likely fade
But on my brain, down to my skull
Are gashes from Her blade
Not some weapon used by god
Or the scythe held by Death
A wicked tool that surpasses nerves
And stalls my every breath
With blood pumping wildly
And a very nervous hand
I want my head to rest this night
And mute this discordant band

This is really good. It brings up a lot of emotion and feelings in me.
I very, very much like this. Especially these two lines: "But on my brain, down to my skull / Are gashes from Her blade". Those are just amazing, powerful words.
