Kate Middleton becoming Anorexic Fashion Icon

Kate Middleton has been in the spotlight ever since she began dating Prince William. But since their April 29th wedding, however, the paparazzi’s angle has changed. It’s no longer about the Cinderella fairy tale – commoner falls in love with prince – but about her continued weight loss.

Kate has always been very slender, and prior to her wedding, she lost a few extra pounds. That’s not uncommon for a bride right before her wedding. At her first public appearances since her honeymoon, however, she seems to have dropped even more weight.

“Wills wants Kate to put on a few pounds but she’s refusing,” reveals a royal insider. “William thought they’d eat, drink and be merry on honeymoon but Kate was careful about what she ate. Her calorie counting is borderline OCD.”

Looks like the honeymoon wasn’t quite the fairy tale they had planned. In her defense, the pressure that the Duchess of Cambridge is now under is probably unimaginable to anyone outside of celebrity status. But really, she is looking ghastly. The insider continues, “Her waist is now under ******* inches. Before she met President Obama, her Reiss dress had to be taken in.”

Designer Anya Hindmarch commented on the subject. “I hope she doesn’t become too much of a fashion icon because it would be so exhausting for her. I know her a bit and she’s a naturally healthy girl. She does a lot of exercise and no wonder she lost weight around the wedding — it’s quite an ordeal to go through.” True for all brides, but we’re betting nothing compares to coordinating a royal wedding.

Kate’s even had a new term named for her wedding ordeal – “brideorexia.” Since Kate Middleton’s known to exercise a lot, we’re thinking it’s less than she stopped eating and more that she spent every waking moment on a treadmill, but the result is the same.

She dropped from a size **** to a size **** in six months. At her wedding, she was **** and weighed **** pounds. That’s alarming enough, but her continued weight loss is downright scary. Many are questioning if there really is an eating disorder involved and if it’s going to be a rehash of Princess Diana, who confessed to both bulimia and anorexia.

Regardless, it’s safe to say that the recent princess is strongly affected by society’s demands for thinness and may be taking it to an unhealthy level.

Here's the news story.

For goodness sake, stop comparing the poor girl to Princess Diana! When she married Prince William, I highly doubt she would have wanted to replace his mother! This is getting ridiculous.

With so much media attention on her, no wonder she's getting overstressed, overworked and thinner than before. I sincerely hope all of this doesn't push her to actually become ill in that way; forever more will they be comparing her to Princess Diana. She is not and never will be Princess Diana, just leave her in peace.

I get annoyed at the media. O_O

i actually dont care this sort of thing is always in the news over a celebrity or in this royalty, diana has nothing to do with her and rather than going over the top with this leave the poor woman alone, if your every move would be recorded etc and photos taken of course shes going to be paranoid about her wieght because if she isnt thin shes too fat or something so seriously the media should leave them alone and not publish things like this because it just makes things worse. Its so annoying i dont read these sort of things but practically every news paper etc i get theres something on her in there. She married a prince and pushing so much media on her really is just cruel and no doubt impacting on their relationship i know she chose to marry him so its a choice but they really tthey are entitled to some peace and quiet!

It annoys me that they keep comparing her to Diana. She is not and never will be Diana.

That's not new.

And yes the whole Diana thing annoys me too.

I think that royalty insiders who remain nameless are questionable as sources. I also think that it is normal to gain or lose weight when under stress.

I know that alot of the press is fabricated, especially because Princess Di's life was such a money mill up until today- the Duchess is being prepped for a similar franchise.

Not a royalty expert, but if there is any truth to things they will probably come out in releases from the Palace. At the moment, I do think that the young lady should be respected and allowed to settle into her new role with her Prince Charming, and readers need to be more selective in what they believe.

It drives me crazy how the media is constantly scrutinizing celebrities' weight. It's normal to go back and forth with your weight, depending on stress. And if I remember right, she used to be a model, so she's probably used to having to keep a certain figure. If she was to gain 10 pounds she'd be ridiculed for that. I felt so bad for Jessica Simpson when people were commenting on her weight gain (which wasn't even that much). People wouldn't do that to a friend, but they do it to celebrities. It's not as though they don't see those headlines about their body. Similar with Britney Spears. One minute the media would say she was anorexic, the next she had too much weight. It was kind of ridiculous.

Being a little bit too worried about weight or a little slim is far different from an actual eating disorder. And it's compounded by the fact that healthy weight gain is called "fat" by the media/fans. Really unless it's unhealthy weight gain/loss, it shouldn't be even noted. And actual eating disorders involve mostly psychological problems and are very extreme in the behaviors. It's not just someone being a little over conscious with their calorie intake.

Also I know from experience it does not help to call someone anorexic when they aren't. I had that as a teenager because I wasn't very active so never very hungry and I was pretty thin. But people calling me anorexic made me more upset and actually more conscious of my weight than if they hadn't said a word. So yeah I think the media is creating the problems celebrities have with being overly conscious of their weight, and i think they highly overuse the word anorexic and take it way beyond it's actual psychiatric meaning.

Stereotypes are the epitome of human laziness.

I'm with Beautiful Seclusion. I wish the media would stop clutching on to everything and making such big issues out of it.

What a load of ****. If anything the stress of media attention in general is putting her off her food. Irony!

Leave the girl alone, she's got a freaking huge job to do, give her a chance to manage.
