I dont know where you are, but if you are in the UK, there is always the option of A&E. Like someone said on another thread, it is perfectably acceptable to go to A&E for an mental health problem, just like you would attend A&E for a physical problem.
If phoning an crisis line is not an option, because like you said, you hang up, perhaps you could use that? It could be the case that you could talk to a person face to face (you will be seen by the on duty psych during your time in A&E).
If you are not in the UK I am not sure what to suggest (other than phone an helpline).
