Just wondered if anyone else sings - for fun, professionally, anything like that. My dad used to know somebody who worked for a record company & they gave him some software for the Mac & a really good, clear microphone complete with stand! I enjoy singing. I would NEVER aim to do it professionally but that doesn't matter!
This was a few years back now but on a quiet weekday, I like to be alone in the house, get a few instrumentals from YouTube & just sing for fun! I used to have singing lessons up until I was 16, then I stopped.
I have one studio recording I did too - my mum got it for me as a birthday present - I sang 'Colors Of The Wind' from Disney's Pocahontas. I'm a little bit shy so I don't share my covers with anyone on YouTube - it's purely for me!
Just wondered if anyone else likes singing like this to make them happy? I'm currently in my bedroom with all my equipment, singing! I'm into singing Adele songs at the moment...
PS... even if you don't sing, you should! It doesn't matter if it's out of tune or whatever, it's all good fun!! xx

I'm into singing Adele songs tooooooo! Put her on in my car and sing away (with the windows shut!). I used to sing a lot and be in choirs etc but then study got in the way etc etc....I miss it though.

When I'm alone, driving in my car, I can sing like a rock star. As soon as other people are present, I can't sing at all :)
I was always in the choir at school and college. School was fun. College I was forced into it because I was doing A level music but I didn't enjoy it (it was full of annoying PPMC students.) Now I don't mind the Asian style karaoke (in a small room with just your friends) so long as there's enough alcohol available but I wouldn't do the UK style karaoke.

I used to chant Hindu and Buddhist mantra and bhajans [religious songs]. I played the Indian harmonium too! This was in my zealous spiritual phase of my late 20s.
