Struggling a lot right now. My exams are in less than three weeks now. I've been doing well-ish up until this point - any incidents that have occurred have been of a level where they can be handled in college/with my docs and I haven't needed any hospital treatment. But this weekend I have been trying to work and I just can't. I can't bear to open my folders and look at any of it. I can't bear to think that in two weeks time I have to sit and answer questions on all this stuff. Just need to stay calm but it's difficult.

Sorry, I didn't get a chance to finish this message earlier. I was in our common room TV room and then people came in so I had to hide the page. Am now in my friend's room. Feeling a bit calmer, but still not great. My mate is being really good though - just by not bieng on my own I feel calmer.
I'm still scared. I'm still worried. And I'm scared about what will happen once I have finished my exams if they don't go too well, but right now I just have to stay focussed on the next couple of weeks. This time in three weeks it'll all be over and I'll have just had our college's white tie ball. Just got to keep going, but it's hard.

Hey, not got any helpful advice since I haven't done any exams for years, but I'm currently struggling to get the motivation to do my coursework so I can appreciate that it must be really stressful not being able to revise. You're completely right in that you've just got to keep going, concentrate on your successes so far and deal with what happens after the exams later.
With the revision could you just try to do small chunks at a time with regular breaks rather than trying to tackle it all at once, it might be easier to concentrate if you know you don't have to do so much at once? I don't really know if thats helpful or not, but it's what I'm going to try to do tomorrow with an essay I have to write.
Hope you feel more positive in the morning x
Hold your breath, count to ten, fall apart, start again...
Yeah concentrate on now. Worry about the future later. xx

Hug. Remember you arent alone with the stress. Remeber that exam stress is normal. You arent being singled out, but are going through a very hard time for many people. Its harder for you because you have other issues that many dont have. Its important to be good to yourself. Why make things harder than they are now. Some kindness and compassion is needed. Take breaks, take walks. Fuelling your body is as important as fuelling the mind.
The 25th is a short time away. It may seem and eternity, but you will be shocked at how fast it passes. Remember what you are feeling is normal. Its how we cope and get what we need to survive.

Argggh, Ive just had my tutorial moved from 4 until 2. There's no way I can finish this paper before then. And there are going to be all six of our year plus our tutor in this tiny room, and everyone is going to be stressed out and i@m going to end up even more stressed out. ****

*cuddles* What's going on for you now? I'm sorry I don't have much advice, but keep posting; take each hour by itself, one at a time. It'll be the 25th before you know it. xx
The tute yesterday took 2 and a half hours in the end, without any proper break. It should NOT have taken that long to go over a three hour paper - the rest of my year were being dicks and wasting time. I was really stressed out afterwards and wanted to OD. Struggled with food massively last night and struggled a lot today again. All I seem to want is sweet things, it's ridiculous. I've done four hours of work this afternoon and am doing a past paper at the moment, so over the day I'll have done about eight hours I reckon.
Spoken to welfare about things. I'm going to collect meds daily from now until my exams, mainly in order that it makes sure I get up in the morning.
Just plodding on through. Thankyou or being here, it means a lot :)

Bleugh. Have been sitting in this computer room since midday for all but one half hour walk to the cafe and back. Have been taking breaks, but I feel chained to work. If I don't work I'm panicking that I'm not working, it's a really hard balance for me to get right. Have got to go for dinner in a bit, so at least I'll get some human contact then. Then am going to do another couple of sessions (I do 45 min sessions) after dinner and then get an early night. Have decided I need to do something to take care for myself so am going to watch casualty and paint my nails so I don't feel like such a massive chemistry geek. Just need to keep going and keep plodding. Cannot wait for this time next week. I'm so sick of exam prep. Part of me just wants to write my name on the paper and then just walk out; I don't give a **** anymore.

Had an absolutely terrible night last night. Didn't get any work done and I was so close to doing things that would land me in hospital. But I avoided it. Four more days until it's all over :D

Hang in there hon. If you've got some blank CDs, go ask a few people to burn you something to listen to. It really worked for me when I was working at a law firm - the stress blows, the work blows, but some good new tunes and some semi-forced friend love make it much more bearable imho.
Almost done!
Can I just say how proud of you I am for getting through this and sorry I didn't get round to replying to your pm home life got in the way.
Best of luck for the next two exams, make sure you treat yourself when you are done! x
Sweetie, don't worry about it, it's ok. Inorganic tomorrow. Spectrochemical series and the periodic table to lodge in my brain tonight (yes Oxford is that annoying that they don't give us a periodic table!)
Have got the ball starting 2 hours after I have finished my exams, so my friends have been warned that trashing is to be limited to stuff that I can get off me before the ball starts! But a twelve hour white tie ball after completing exams. Yes please :)

That is rather stingy, having said that I am I had most of the important bits of the table committed to memory (s block, p block, first 2 rows of d block) and didn't really use the periodic table we were given so hopefully it won't be too much of a hindrance.
I shall be thinking of you and certainly don't envy you, inorganic is not my strong point ... should really brush up on it though as my PhD is partly in the inorg. group!
