My Therapist gave me a Birthday Card.

This is a bit self indulgent, but then arent most RYl posts :P

My therapist gave me a card today. I really wasnt expecting one.

It read:

Dear Matthew,

I do hope that you are able to celebrate and that you let others celebrate with you. One of the most important compensations of age is that we get wiser. I hope that this increasingly becomes a time when you canlet yourself make use of your own considerable wisdom and insight.

Jo, no it was awful :P but no worries.

how do i feel about it? I feel nice and humbled. Shes been trying to tell me for years that she cares. A little bit of it sank in. I dont believe the words but i do believe the sentiment and thats a big deal for me. :)

most therapists dont care when your birthday is...and the fact that she wrote in it and not just signed it....wipes my tears....I like her!
