Adult - BOYS! why do you do this!?

Wear your trousers half way down your butt showing off your underwear and bottom!? We dont want to see it.. so why!? whats up with it? Im just cringe when i see it i dont find it attractive at all.. saw a lad today that wasnt even wearing a long shirt and trousers very low it was just rather gross.. im baffled to see the point of it..

I heard it started in America; when people come out prison they've usually lost weight and so their trousers would hang lower and people just started copying it to look hard?

To me it just looks like they have an abnormally long torso and stubby legs :\

I saw a guy walking past my window the other day. His trousers were hanging so low I could see the bottoms of his boxers. He looked ridiculous.

i saw someone who wore his trousers pratically round his knees today. it angered me. I wanted to run up and pull them up.

my stepmother was next to me. She was very confused at this, in her words, 'constipated boys fashion'.

Aha id love to see there faces if you did run up and pull them up... im always inclined, i saw a community support officer (male) do it once and it was hilarious.. i think it should become a target in community to do that.

I cans ee why the tradition started but i think they just look like a twerp.. no where near hard..

There was a guy at my school once, and I noticed that every time he sat at his desk, he wasn't sitting on his pants. He was only sitting on his boxers, with his pants around his thighs. It just looks...weird. And a bit gross. Baggy pants are okay, but having your pants around your knees and grabbing your crotch to keep them up while walking with a "swagger" that actually just makes you look like you broke your ankle is not attractive.

Giving up doesn't always mean you're weak.
Sometimes it just means you're strong enough to let go.

Actually guys would wear their pants low in prison as a sign they could be tapped in the bottom. From there it became part of hip hop kulture and was supposed to look macho - like a dude was so ready for action his pants were already half down. Most people hate it but towns and police are reluctant to do anything about it because they get the inevitable racism charges.

Whoa, don't be so sexist, one of my female friends wears her trousers like this! (She is a lesbian, but nevertheless!)

Am I going to be the first to say a teeny-tiny bit of nice boxer-briefs showing over the top of some well fitted jeans isn't entirely unattractive? A nice pair of Calvin Kleins + good abs = happy times.

However, baggy boxers, baggy jeans and a belt that does nothing = not so good. Also, butch women in baggy jeans and SoCal/Jack Wills pants. Put them away! Please.

I find it slightly funny. I'd LOVE to have seen the PCSO pull up a guy's trousers!

If anything I find it baffling that they actually stay up... and don't drop. Mind you if they did drop completely that would be pretty darn funny too. Its rather ick when you see the bottoms of the boxer shorts and hairy legs though.. rather 'try hard' if you ask me!

Agreed. A little bit showing can be quite attractive, without trying too hard or looking stupid. I find the same thing true of jeans that have actually been worn out, instead of distressed artificially.

Anyway, Isoverity is right about the history of the trend. It started out as being meant to show you're a "catcher." ;)
