Comfused

Hey everyone, im knew here!

im 16, and i seem to be getting really stressed out about school! i dont know why because ive never been stressed before and suddenly i just feel really upset all the time and a lack of energy which makes me never want to do revision and my exams are coming up! I have been having suicidal thoughts pretty much all day everyday, apart from with my friends today when i felt slightly happier, ive been feeling like this for a couple of months now.

I dont self harm, i only use the red elastic band to snap when i want to get the thoughts out of my head but it doesnt always work. This probably sounds like a completely worthless post and im really sorry that ive wasted your time, but i really dont like how i am atm... i hate myself because im really stupid and have really bad memory/attention/concentration etc. and i find it really hard to sleep and when i eventually get to sleep i will sleep in way to long and never want to wake up again :(

I dont even know why im posting here, im just comfused about whether i might be depressed?? or just im stupid and overaggerating! Im really sorry if you've read this and ive wasted your time! im sorry you could of been doing something more intresting :( although im sure no-ones gonna read this anyway.

this post isn't a waste of time at all. so please, don't apologize. :)

the only people who can diagnose disorders are doctors, so talking to your GP or main physician would be a good idea. also, they might be able to help you sleep better, which can be really helpful when dealing with depression or anxiety. a good nights sleep can do wonders, especially if they're common.

also, getting more sleep can help with getting more energy and being able to focus and remember things better.

theres lots of things you can do on your own to help you sleep, i'll try and find a good list and i'll pm the link to you...

suicidal thoughts are also something that your doctor should know about. if you're feeling particularly close to attempting, or have a plan and date, please tell them soon. or tell your parents, or a school councelor, teacher you trust, another adult you trust......

well, i dont particularly trust anyone so i dont know i would be able to talk to. im afraid my best friend just wouldnt understand and wouldnt know how to help, and im scared of teachers and most other authority figures :(

Heya :D sorry i couldnt reply earlier i was at school >.> I feel a little bit better :) because I am not alone :D i have the same problem as you :( except ive had mine for a year and a half.... My exams are coming up to and I cannot revise properly or work properly :( My concentration and memory is so bad and I cannot work hard anymore :( Your post was awesome not a waste of time - I know how much you suffer. I dont know if I am depressed but I know there is something wrong with me. I cannot talk to anyone though because they will never understand :'( But please, you should go and tell someone.... If you leave it as long as me then you WILL get very suicidal. Before I had this I wasnt suicidal at all but now... Ive actually tried to commit suicide. All my plans have failed :( I am just scared of school and teachers somehow. I suffer mental pain now. Please ask for help before you end up like me or worse :( Thanks for being brave and posting ur thread, Private Message me anytime :))

SlurpSlurp.... I can completely relate to your situation. I know that it is hard to trust people but please find one person who you can trust. Even if you only tell them parts of your story he or she may be able to help you out. The more you keep everything hidden inside you the worse you will feel.

wow rebel you really do sound exactly like me, especially as before i felt like this i was always so happy and never thought about death, now its all i do :( thanks all of you for replying! i think maybe one day, i might get enough courage and talk to my school counselor! thanks for the help!!!

slurpslurp, your post is definitely not a waste of time, so don't apologize!

I've been where you are right now ... posting on here is a good start, but please, you do have to tell someone in person too! It's hard to trust people, I know, but once you find someone you can trust, they might be able to help you even more than you think.
