how to cope with med changes/increase

stupid title, sorry
stoned a bit on pain meds
anywyas...how do you cope with, (or maybe 'accept' is a better word?) with having previous meds decreased to back to an increase or 'regular' dose?
I hope that makes sense :/
Basically, thought I was coping well, doc agreed to a decrease...it hasnt worked.
Just so discouraged/disappointed that meds are back where they were...for who knows how long...
Yes, I realize the good in taking healthy stpes, etc...but, this sucks.
Support? Tips?Anyone? Anything?

I really struggle with med changes. I hate the fact I have to take meds anyway, so I resent it when the doc sho's prescribed them then changes his mind and changes the dose.

I found it really hard when I had managed three months med free, then had a big slip down and was pretty much forced back onto medication. Like you I began to wonder whether I would ever be "better". And I understand how the concept of "baby steps" can be bloody annoying, because somedays you feel like the baby steps are so small that you are not managing anything at all. But even if you aren't going forwards, not going backwards is also a very good thing, and something to remind yourself of.

I'm sorry if this is just a rambling mess of words, but yeah, I feel your pain xx

I am currently:

Try not to let the stigma get you down - would you criticise a diabetic for needing a certain level of insulin? OK, this is also something I've struggled with a bit, and also resent spending nearly 10% of my income on meds. But if they help, then OK, they help. It doesn't make you a bad person/failure/whatever...
