Hotmail in webmail on a Nokia phone - can't reply/send new email

This is NOT spam. It's Katie with a question!

Hi. I'm hoping for some techy help. I'll also post this on the Nokia forums if I can figure that out.

I have a Nokia C-300 smartphone.
I use Hotmail for my email, and prefer webmail as I also use it from my laptop.

However the buttons for 'Reply' and 'New message' don't do anything when I click on them and hit select. Well, the new message one does, but won't let me add any addresses as the 'To' button does nothing either.

Help!

I might have to resort to setting it up as email coming directly to my phone, but I'd really rather not.
If I have to, can I still access mails from my laptop and send and such from there?

Any ideas? I've poked around in the settings, but can't see anything that can sort this.

Thanks. :)

I am currently:

Could you speak to both Hotmail and Nokia/Vodaphone about this? Just wondering if it may be a common fault/may be an obvious way to fix it.

Sorry I can't help more, Katie - I use gmail, so I don't know that much about it. Hope you're groovy :)

The C3-00 in terms of web-browsing only uses basic internet, as you said before, it won't be able to use the hotmail site to any great efficiency - as you've already found. Neither hotmail or Vodafone will likely to be able to offer an alternative.

The other option would be to download Mail for Exchange from the Ovi store. Though as you said you didn't want to do that, the other option would be to use an email server with better mobile access interfaces - such as googlemail which works pretty well. You can have all your email sent to that address and even carry on using your current email address to send emails if you want.

Thanks all. :)

I sorted it by downloading an uptodate version of mini opera. It works great in that.

I do have a Gmail account, but it's reserved for being my professional one, well, will be, once I'm a writer and all. :)
