I've had that same feeling, of wanting to either prove to yourself that you're not sick, or to others that you are not faking. And I've also had the reaction of stopping taking meds altogether, for those exact reasons. I can't say how this will turn out for you; only that it has always, always gone badly for me. I have a similar diagnosis and similar medication, if that helps. Obviously, situation does make a difference to your mental health, and there may be times when it is safer than others to come off your meds. But experience has taught me that that really does need to be done safely, with support and supervision. It's so frustrating, because if you stop taking them all at once, you get an immediate and measurable answer to your own questions about how you "really" are. But you also take a huge risk. And the impulsivity of an act like stopping medication maybe indicates that you aren't faking... that, whether ill or not at the moment, there is a reason you are on the medication.
Hope that helps...x
