Need Advice

My question is: How do I cover up fresh cuts without using a jacket or a mass of bracelets?

It had been 3 years since I last cut and I relapsed last night. I now have scars up and down both arms because I wasn't thinking when it happened. None of my methods from before will work now because I am a much "happier and bubblier" person than I was then. I know a lot of people say to use makeup, but I don't use makeup so don't own any, and it's hard to use make up to cover up fresh ones.

I can't let any of my friends or professors know about this, so I desperately need to figure out a way to hide them.

makeup on fresh cuts is a bad idea. i know you know that, but i just wanted to point it out for others...

put your arm in a sling? though then you've got to make up something to explain that, and that would be a huge hassle.... i would just go with long sleeves myself

you could put a bandage on it and say you strained a muscle or something other than that can you maybe get a lighter long sleeve top to wear

A long sleeve top would work, or a hoodie. I live in my hoodies anyway so no one ever questions it.

Long sleeve tops, cardigans, shirts open over t-shirts, hoodies and elbow length gloves work well it all depends on your style really. I wear long tops underneath most of my outfits. And the 'I sunburn easily' excuse work really well!

First, it's great you went 3 years! That is really amazing :) You're doing a wonderful job in recovering :)

Sometimes I just put a band-aid on a cut and if people ask, maybe say my cat scratched me, tripped and scraped my arm, or was cooking and got burnt. I really don't like telling stories like that, but it's kept me from getting so many strange looks :/

I really hope you're doing alright :) Send a PM if you want to talk

*hugs and love*
