Without going to the doctors.. [infection]

It's been found out that when I get an infection somewhere on or in my body, I succumb to dizzy spells and a fuzzy head, plus weird fuzzy feelings around my eyes.

This has been happening for around a week now and I'm in no mental state to get out of bed and go to the doctors. I would also say this is not important or worthwhile enough to go to a late night emergency doctor.

So I was wondering if there was anything I could do to rid of this apparent infection? I had a tiny cut on my hand that got infected, but that's cleared an healed now. But this infection is going around my body.

Ideas?

This would be better in the first aid thread

Will you please write your posts bigger, they are hard to read.

I prefer to keep my text small.

And I don't feel it's important enogh for a doctor to come out to me. I'm looking for ideas on how to rid the infection.

I really don't think there is anything you can do, but hope that your body will take care of it... which would just be a waiting game. Or seeing a doctor. With infections like that, it sounds sort of serious since it's not confined to one place, so it probably IS serious enough that you should seek professional medical help for it.

This. Is there any reason that you don't want to see a dr?

And I know you may like your text small, but it means people can hardly read it which makes it difficult to help you.

Right, this NEEDS to be taken seriously. This may potentially be an infection which has spread into your bloodstream; that or something else that has happened around the same time. Infections in the bloodstream can kill... FACT. They can also make you go downhill VERY quickly, as can other things which may be the cause of this. The can end up with you needing to recieve treatment in ICU and you have to take the seriousness of this on board. You NEED to get help. Whatever is causing this (which may be infection but may be something else but the fact that it could be a circulating infecion is something that needs to be looked into) is something that needs to be investigated. You cannot treat it at home without seeing a doctor as it could mean you need to be hospitalised on a drip and having antibiotics going straight into your vein; I don't know because I don't know exactly what is going on and cannot say. BUT, what I can say is you need to get help STRAIGHT AWAY and I'd personally suggest A&E. DON'T drive there and it's probably best not to get a bus so I'd get a taxi or get someone else to take you. As you are so unwell, if transport cannot be sorted out soon then it may be worth contacting an ambulance; if you ring NHS Direct they may be able to sort out transport for you if you don't want to ring 999 but you NEED to take this seriously. And by "if transport can't be sorted out soon", I mean soon as in pretty much straight away within the next couple of hours and call 999 if you worsen in that time.

Well, ****. I'll ask my mum for an appointment. I had an infection at christmas from piercings and that put me in hospital, but this seems to be something random. Didn't think it could be bad.
