Not a clue what happened; sleep related.

Not sure what this is, but hoping someone does know and could knows a solution. It has happened twice now and it's distressing as hell.

It's like my body is lightly sleeping; I can feel it asleep, eyes closed etc, but i'm wide awake in my mind. I can think and listen but my mind is whirring, yet whirring around too quiet for me to know what it's thinking... And my body is asleep. I'm left in a daze without proper sleep until, several hours later I am able to snap out of it.

... Ideas? I'm afraid to sleep because of it.

This has happened to me. I feel wide awake in my mind but my body feels asleep. It's a really strange feeling to get, but I normally just wake myself out of it & then I fall asleep normally.

I've definitely heard of this, and i think it's pretty common. I can't remember what it's called but when I do i'll come back and post :)

But if i still believe you love me, maybe i'll survive.
So i tell myself you're coming home, like you've done a million times.
& if it's alright, i'll still be loving you.
'cause i can't break it to my heart.

Sleep paralysis perhaps.

Stop thinking about what I want, what he wants, what your parents want. What do you want?

Sounds very similar to that, except I wasn't in a panic, just very, very pissed off it was happening.
