Please do SH, talk to the nurses there they can help you.. sleep wise and distraction why. You are there i guessing because you are a unsafe and either you or someone else is very worried about your safety. please dont hurt yourself, it really only defeats the purpose of being there.

Would talking to someone about it help? They may be able to find a way to reduce the triggers. I'm sorry it's been so rough... just please don't hurt yourself...

You really need to speak to the staff, they are there to help you with urges. In the long run, talking about your urges instead of acting on them will be a much better option, so it's best to practice that now by speaking to someone about how you feel.

Talk to the staff. Don't SI while you're there, it won't be fun if they discover it!

I don't think many actually allow you to use the internet to be honest, and if they do, most of the sites you'd want to use will be blocked. Mabye OP slipped in an internet phone or something?

Umm, that sounds pretty stupid to me. A lot of things can be horrible, internet doesn't mean they aren't. Sure internet would help make it more bearable but it wouldn't make up for the environment, lack of freedom etc etc.

Always seem to get things just that little bit wrong.

When i was in hospital i used the internet on my phone. Was pretty slow but got me through a boring day.

To the OP I hope you managed to stay safe and talk to the professionals who were there to help you.

I'm sure that it isn't helpful for anyone concerned to be doubting someone else's judgement when you have no solid proof of anything.
Innocent until proven guilty, not the other way around, IMO.

leviathan666, I can't add anything more helpful than what anyone else has said but I hope you've talked to somebody. I imagine that psych wards can be very difficult and lonely places but the more you engage, the more you'll get recovery-wise from it.

Keep fighting. You'll get through this.

Veering off topic, but, some psych wards do allow phones and internet and laptops because I have been in them and done just that. And a psych ward that allows internet access is no less horrible than any others. The worst ward I've been on allowed me to use my laptop. So just because someone can access the net doesnt mean they're lying.

OP, I hope you talked to the nurses. That's what they are there for and it's much better to talk than to cut.

Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back, everything is different…
