Camhs advice please?

I was wondering if anyone has heard of/ been involved with Camhs. Camhs basically stands for child and adolescent mental health service, and I've been under their books since June 2010. I was wondering if anyone had any success stories, because the councillor I'm with now is basically telling me that how I think is wrong, making me tell him every problem I have then sending me away. Tomorrow I have an appointment with my psychiatrist, and they were already thinking of sending me away to Huntercombe, a mental hospital of some kind? I hope someone has ideas, I'm really bloody scared. Thanks (:

What exactly about CAMHS is it that you want advice with? Or is there some specific symptom or issues that you want support with? I was under CAMHS until I was 17 (5 years ago) and Huntercombe is also about 10 miles down the road from me. What kind of ideas were you looking for? I know it is scary feeling awful, and also when people start taking actions to help with that but it is all part of 'recovery'.

As far as CAMHS i was wtih them for a year and a half. The 6 months were crap as... well i was annoyed when i was in hospital my psych who i liked didn;t assess me as he was leaving so it was down to the crisis team. However the last year they have been good as my cons good at her job.

As far as Huntercombe is concerned am sure a few members on here have been there , though i cant remember who.

I was with CAMHS for just over a year & also been admitted to one of the Huntercombe hospitals.

CAMHS were, in general, really great with me. I guess I'm a success story in the sense that for the most part, they were really helpful & kind & caring.
