lonely and just need some comforting company please
I took a big step in relation to my work future yesterday. I can't really go into details publicly but it is a positive step for me in so many ways.
But right now I am feeling scared and alone and would really appreciate some comforting company and kind thoughts. And if anyone could share any things that have helped you when you've made a big step.
You are not alone, and well done. Taking a big step is hard and scary, but if you know it's right, that's all that matters. I reckon you're brave. xx

i know how scarey it can be taking a big step like that, i took one myself not long ago...and trust me it pays off! whether it works out the way you think it will or not, there will be benefits, even if its just knowing that even when things don't work out, its not the end of the world
try and do some nice things for yourself?like read or write, or paint or watch a movie, pamper yourself..something, as a reward for being so brave aswel as being a good way to practice self-soothing
I should be familiar with knock on effects to stepping forward, the feeling wobbly and insecure, yet every time it daunts me. So your encouragement means a lot.
Rather stirred up. Thanks for asking. :) I feel somewhat low and churny. My GP said this morning that I'm the most positive she's seen me for a long time. So. I do feel wobbly though. I do know all these feelings are totally understandable and to be expected. And what I've done is a huge step, though it's not formal/confirmed officially yet. I have to wait until the end of the month before I know that.
Well done. Stepping forwards sometimes feels like you've found yourself on a tightrope, doesn't it? The ground's shakier, scarier and less certain. But you've done the bravest bit by taking the step, and the rest will come. And if you're seeming more positive to others, maybe that's a good sign too. Remember and post if you need to, the insecurity can be scary. And post positives too, don't let yourself forget that you've done something *big*
Thanks. Yes, it does feel like that, like there's so much space around me, and I could so easily fall off. But holding on isn't like how I would have thought it's supposed to be, either.
I'm feeling pretty low right now, unfortunately, but thanks for asking :). The grief at the anticipated loss has kicked in, and also the anger and pissed off-ness too connected to the reason for this impending loss of my job. Long story, which I can't go into publically, for reasons I hope you all understand. I need to really focus on building up my self esteem, because it has taken quite a knock.
