I understand how you feel. When I used to self harm I don't it at the most random times, even when everything was going alright. It becomes an addiction, and it's hard to stop, even when you're not having a hard time. It's just like breaking a habit. When you feel the urge to self harm, try to get your mind off of it and distract yourself. Think of other things you could do to take up your time that will get your mind off of self harm. It's easier said than done, but it's not impossible.
