Upset
I cut yesterday. I cut today, and I want to cut more at the moment. But I'm fighting it. Distractions are menial and my mind is on one thing. I hate cutting. I hate admitting that I like the release it gives. I'm so tired of fighting the urge but I'm sick of dealing with the consequences.
I just want to be able to say these things and not have people shrink away in disgust. It seems that those who have never had this problem know just how to fix it.

Isn't that the truth?! So I hope you can take my "non-answer" as a sign that I'm here if you need. Keep fighting!

Yes! I'm so glad you're trying to fight it :)
Recovery is such a hard thing... I've tried so many times, but am still working on it. I really hope you're able to continue fighting the urges. We're all here for you :) You can always send a message if you need!
*hugs and love*

We are male and female. We are artists, athletes, and students. We have depression, PTSD, eating disorders, bipolar disorder, or maybe no diagnosis at all. Some of us were abused, some not. We come from all walks of life and can be any age. We are every race or religion that you can think of. Our common link is this: We are in pain. We self-injure. And we are not freaks.

how are you feeling?
distractions are good to get you through the initial urge, but i've found that they don't really make it go away. often i need to express the emotion a different way, use a different coping skill, whether thats writing, or art, or finding a song that really fits what you're feeling and singing or lipsynching along with it..... and sometimes its just letting yourself cry for a bit

this is my magical medicine cabinet. Left to right they contain: courage, hope, calmness, and strength.
The magical part: They NEVER run out, so borrow some any time you want.
PM me anytime, I love getting messages :)
