Weird dreams! Buspirone?

I was recently started on buspirone (3weeks ago) for anxiety and because i said i was feeling "reckless" (not sure how its supposed to help that!)

For the last few weeks, ive been having really vivid dreams, so much so that I cant tell im dreaming until I wake up and sometimes i even find myself wondering whether i am actually awake when i am :S

I'm also finding it really hard to wake up in the mornings.

The only reason i can think of is the buspirone but my doctor really doesnt want me to come off it.
Has anyone else had this and has anyone got any tips on how to minimise these effects!?

I don't know about that particular medication. But I know weird/vivid dreams and nightmares are common side effects of anxiety and depression meds in general.

Often they get better with time.
You could try lavender on your pillow or something to help in the mean time.

I call it dreaming... they call it madness.

^ Same as above really, many medications for anxiety and depression often list vivid dreams as a potential side effect.

As for waking up in the morning I'm not sure, when I was on quetiapine it was hell trying to get up. Set several alarms and make a big cup of coffee is my advice

Some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money.
They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with.
Some men just want to watch the world burn.

^ I do that anyway!!!
I had a look under the side effects and its not actually listed, i told my dr, who is usually very good, but he kinda ignored it and actually upped my dose!
