I'm actually the total opposite. Once I read a book, or watch a film, I have to give it a year or more until I read/watch it again. I can't stand reading/watching something twice if I can still remember the story! It really annoys me.
However, CD...when I buy a new one, I do play it a lot in my bedroom in the mornings say. It's just...new and shiny and if you really love it you just want to play it over and over! I've played things out before though, that is not cool. So its nice to play music often, but not too often that you're sick of it.
I hate repetetiveness, I hate repetetiveness, I hate repetetiveness, I hate repetetiveness.
I'm how Lostdoll is.
I feel like that with films, it appears I cannot find a film that doesnt have a predictable storyline, although I dont think thats what you're asking.
Maybe it's a fear of the unknown or just feeling uncomfortable doing new things & taking that risk.
I ALWAYS wear the same clothes, mainly because they're comfortable & I cant be bothered to think of something else to wear - but if it doesn't smell whats the problem?!
I'm with Eimear about the books and films - but I can listen to the same song on repeat for hours and not get bored.
"When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around.”
My sister went through a phase of watching the same film every night for about 4 nights & then switching a while back, & sharing a room, that was VERY irritating.

If I find a song i think is pretty, it'll usually be on repeat until i get bored of it.
I could watch Buffy over and over without getting bored, but not like the same episode over and over.
Movie wise?
Generally it's my guilty pleasures that I can watch nightly, rather than my favourite movies.
I could watch Miss Congeniality every night for weeks and not get bored...
books:
i usually like to wait a while before i read something again. so it's sortof fresh again.
although, saying that, when i finished reading choke for the first time. i read it again straight away, because #1: i didn't have anything on me to read & #2: it was amazing.
with music, i can listen to same thing over & over, no problem.
i like to, too.
I could watch Empire Records on repeat for years and i don't think i'd be bored of it!
At the moment i have Kate Nash's album on repeat almost constantly when i'm on my pc. I can't just listen to one song and then change, it has to be the whole album!

With demons dancing off mirror images reflecting all that you wanted.
So far from perfect, onward we will strive.
Take it for what it's worth, this truth that you've realized.
You're not who you thought you were, it's time to see the other side of what you have become.
I do that farrrr to often! I went through a phase of watching Dumbo non-stop (hands down, one of the best Disney films of all time). It would end, and often I'd literally just put it straight back to the start :P
I saw Battle Royale for the first time a few weeks ago, and have since watched it God know how many times. I always always always end up getting stuck in a cycle like that, which can often backfire, and result in me hating the film in the end!
