How do you upload pictures?!

I'm sorry this is a dumb question!! But I've only had an RYL account a few weeks and I can't work out how to upload pictures into a post?? I have done it before...but I added them as an attachment. How do you do it so the picture is part of the post?? When I click that insert picture icon..it says something about entering a URL?? Huh??

If you click on the picture icon then it will come up with 'enter a url'. To do this you have to have the picture on the internet. Right-clicking the picture and then clicking 'view image info' can allow you to copy the code highlighted in the following screen. This is the url you add into the picture and how you put a picture into the post.

Also, you can do it as well by uploading your photos onto somewhere like Photobucket.com and copying and pasting the IMG Code that it will give you into your post (:

Ok, so what website should I use to upload them? Is there a website where, like, only I can see the pictures?? and can just use it to upload pictures on to here, if you get what I mean?

I use photobucket, but that's not completely private. Though you could possibly set your account to make it so

Looks like you can make it pretty much private. Though obviously nothing on the internet is like completely secure, because it's the internet.

Yay, just made a photobucket account and tested uploading a pic on to here and it works fine :)

Was going to say, if you didn't want to use photobucket you can use imgur - you can't store images as easily, but it's easier with bandwidth and you can't connect the images to you (in that you upload them all separately, so there's no way to connect you to any other photos you may have uploaded).
I haven't used photobucket in yonks now, haha.
