This is a really stupid question but...

What is one expected to wear to a psych assessment. Do you dress kind of nice like you would for a job interview or do you dress kinda casual and normal?

You dress how you want to dress and what you feel comfortable in. There's no rules as to what you should wear. I hope it goes well good luck x

A psych assessment doesn't mean they're going to a psychiatric hospital.
I would just wear whatever you normally would. You're there to present your real self, so stay true to what you usually wear.

Okay thanks, I'll just dress normal then. My mom always told me to dress nice when I went to see my family doctor so I wasn't sure if I'd have to dress nice for this too.

Just wear normal clothes! It gives them an impression of you straight away too and you will probably feel more relaxed.

There are, it has been said, two types of people in the world. There are those who, when presented with a glass that is exactly half full, say: 'This glass is half full'. And then there are those who say: 'This glass is half empty'.
The world belongs, however, to those who can look at the glass and say: 'What's up with this glass? Excuse me? Excuse me? This is my glass? I don't think so. My glass was full! And it was a bigger glass!

Terry Pratchett

I went to a kind of assesment thing on the wednesday just gone and I wore Jeans and a t-shirt with a jumper and my coat and my steel toe capped boots because we had to wear them in uni that day as we were rigging stuff (I do production Lighting) and that seemed fine.

I wear baggy t-shirts, army trousers and steel-capped army boots to appointments. My Mum used to tell me to dress up but I told her that's bullsh*t

PM me if you want a PDF copy of the ICD-10 or the Mental Health Act 1983/2007. I ALSO HAVE THE DSM-V BOOK and am a pharmacology student.

I have a visual impairment / neurological problems so I need people to type in clear text and no funny fonts. Also excuse any typos, my vision blocks things out.
I have autism and have problems communicating, PMs included.
Just becasue I type well doesn't mean I speak well. I am only part time verbal.

Just wear what you'd usually wear sitting around the house!
