Moods are crazy.

My moods are crazy. I'll be fine one minute and suddenly I'll feel really low to the point of feeling suicidal. A couple of people have noticed recently so I guess this is becoming a problem. I really want to deal with this without professional help but I'm not sure if I can. It's almost impossible to control these mood changes as they appear out of nowhere without a cause. Another problem is that nothing can bring me out of it, then out of nowhere I'll feel fine again.

I'm having trouble keeping concentration at the moment. I try to work and something in my head won't let me. Instead I sit here doing nothing & making myself worse. I don't even work in sixth form. I'm finding it really hard to cope with 6 AS exams this January. I have done four and have another two to go.

I've had a couple of different counsellors and none of them really helped as the moods come and go out of nowhere and I can't explain them.

Anyone know how to deal with this? :s

Why don't you want professional help?

In the past I've had counsellors and none of them helped really. I don't think it's a problem I can discuss and then make it all better xx

Not really sure what to say, but it would seem like the first step would be to get an accurate diagnosis.

Edit: By diagnosis, I don't mean fitting you into one of the DSM categories, I mean actually figuring out what is going on inside of your skull.

just because no one has helped in the past doesnt mean that it will always be the case, i would say that profesional help is prob the best thing, as when you find the right person who you feel you able to talk to and that they can help you, Then you will find that it does help you an awful lot. i hope that makes sense.

Possibly. I'm just unsure as to what I'd talk about as I don't know if there's anything in particular that causes it. Thanks for replies :) xx

I know what you mean,

I have bad mood swings and i have no idea what causes them sometimes i will be fine then i will loose it and start shouting and everything. But i am getting help and i do mood charts and my therapist looks and see if there is any triggers, etc. sometimes even if you think nothing causes it when you go deep into it there might be an underlying cause. Feel free to PM me anytime if you want to talk.

Yeah, I guess professional help might be a bit helpful then. I'm just really not stable atm and as soon as I think I'm feeling a bit better I get even worse.
Getting desperate now.
Thankya :) xx
