............or battered fish 'n' chips sprinkled with salt 'n' vinegar, piled high on a white polystyrene tray and then wrapped in white paper
Taken to the sea front and eaten with a wooden fork.
The left over chips fed to the seagulls flying overhead!!
How about Chicago pizza, NY soft pretzels...American Indian fry bread (oh, sinful and greasy and....mmmm)...ceder plank salmon (NW stuff)...
I'm selfish, impatient, and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I'm out of control, and at times hard to handle, but if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.

it would depend what the curry was as to whether it originates in India. in india they simply have 'curry' cooked to the family's own tastes and usually different areas of india tend to serve different (hotter, creamier etc) styles of curry. The usually use lentils and indian veg in their currys and rarely use meat.
Curry such as 'Korma', 'Tikka Masala', 'Pasanda' etc are mixtures of different recipies. Masala is a recognised mix of indian spices, used in India, but as they rarely use meat in their cooking, there's nothing to 'Tikka' with the 'red stuff'.
I have tasted real indian cooking, it is really different. It's not really spicy - but aromatic. They rarely cut chillies, just use them to add flavour (if you cut them, they add spice/heat). They use lentils in just about every dish, and quite often use yoghurt - but not as we know it. They make 'yoghurt cheese', they sit a pot of yoghurt in a sieve lined with kitchen paper, til all the liquid drains out. It's a bit like cottage cheese - but then all the liquid comes out and it's like cheese that tastes of yoghurt. They stir it into meals so it doesn't curdle and it doesn't make it go really liquid.
