My Happiness

Does anyone have issues with making choices for themselves. I have loves in life and dreams of what I want for my future and want to go after them, but I know if I do (inregards to job and love life) my parents and other family members will not really approve or try to get me to choice their ideal for me. I usually end up just doing what other people want for me because I don't like conflict and I don't want to disappoint them.

Does anyone else have these issues?

It pisses me off and upsets me and frustrates me that I can't stand up for myself and I feel so pathetic...I just want to be strong but don't know how!

I agree with the above this is your life, not theirs. You need to do what makes you happy. It's hard to have this pressure on us. Would it be possible to talk to them about how important these things are to you. Take care

Thank you all. I am sorry I have not been on lately, but your words are very helpful! I wanna move back to PA, work in a drug/alcohol rehab, as a TSS, or psych hospital. I ultimately just want to help people and feel a sense of, oh whats the word-I am blanking, and being with my boyfriend is def a perk...I do love him! I guess I have this picture of my future and when I visualize it...I just smile!
