Thanks for this Katie.
I'm a student at the moment and finding it hard.
And I'm possibly looking at going into a career in education in some way so this is really good.
The article really makes sense to me. My tutor last year couldn't understand why I dropped out of my course, all he could talk about was how it was the last year they were doing uni bursaries for the degree, and I should count myself lucky to be on the course.
Thanks for that. I am in my first year at college. I never went to school because of my MH so I am struggling even more with it.x
You called me an angel, there must be a twist,
Have you ever seen an angel with scars on her wrist?
And blood trickling down from a gash on her arm,
Have you ever seen an angel self harm?-Unknown
Good article, more places (schools/colleges) should pay attention to stuff like this.
Royally screwed up both of my higher years in secondary because of crap affecting me and I'm doing it again this year.
The hardest part is when you see your work sliding away from you and lecturers/teachers don't even notice that you're not good.

Good article.
I've got pretty much zero concentration, add to that a lack of motivation, anxiety, finding it hard to communicate/make friends and be sociable, all due to my stupid 'issues', makes going to college really hard. Probably why I'm failing my subjects and will probably drop out before the year's through. Joy.
Thanks for sharing this :) Really helpful. Concentration should definitely have featured more as it took me two attempts to be able to concentrate enough to finish the one page article :P grrr.
Here's the day you hoped would never come,
Don't feed me violins, just run with me
through rows of speeding cars.
21 on the run, on the run, on the run
From myself, from myself and everyone
I better leave the light on
The darkness, The sweetness, The sadness, The weakness,
O, I need this
