PTSD, Depression, SH, dissasociation and personality dissorder thread

Hey,
a little bit of background first, my name is Beki and im 19, i struggle from all of the mental health difficulties mentioned in the title, i thoughtl it may be a good idea to have a place to talk about them, as i know i would really like to talk to people with any similar illnesses, i would like to know how it effects you, what things you find help, about your bad days, and your good days, really i would like some first hand knowledge of what other people go through as i know its a huge up hill struggle for me. please, if you have any of these or know someone with any, could you get back to me as i really want to hear other peoples stories.

pm me if you would feel more comfortable with that.

thank you,
big hugs
beki :) xxx

There are threads & sections already for this;

BPD;
http://www.recoveryourlife.com/forum...ad.php?t=42676
Dissasociation;
http://www.recoveryourlife.com/forum...ead.php?t=4426
Section for SH;
http://www.recoveryourlife.com/forum...splay.php?f=29
PTSD could be discussed in this thread;
http://www.recoveryourlife.com/forum...ead.php?t=4318
or in this section;
http://www.recoveryourlife.com/forum...splay.php?f=32
or in this section you're in now.
& Depression;
http://www.recoveryourlife.com/forum...ad.php?t=97109

I think it wouldn't be a good idea to have a thread for this because it may get competitive, & there are already many threads out there for people struggling with these problems.

Correct me if I'm wrong though, & I apologize if so.

I understand what sarawr is saying, about the fact there are similar threads, but I think it would be nice to have this one aswell because the other threads sometimes can feel abit too exclusive, and can put off the newer members, so this thread could be an alternative thread, for them to use.

I dunno, I'm just throwing around some ideas :)

Are you specifically looking for feedback from people who have all of the diagnosis listed?

Just wanted to say 'hi'. I have PTSD symptoms, occasionally self harm, I dissociate a lot, and do have personality disorder issues going on too. I'm 'officially' diagnosed with depression.

Hey, no not just for people suffering from all of these, even just one, i would prefer to have a thred like this as its personal to me, and it covers alot, instead of having to go to the 6 threads you listed each time i come on RYL, i would just like to speak to other people about any of these really. how do you cope with the feelings related to these?

There are many on RYL who may be able to help then. I am diagnosed with depression (and occasional psychosis due to depression), anxiety, I SH and dissociate.
I cope on a day to day, moment to moment basis - as for me, anything longer than that is too far away and makes me panic. I make plans to meet people who understand me, and plan in time to myself and time to calm down when needed.
The gym is also fantastic for easing my stress and panic levels!
