Practical Exam - Anxious!!!!
I have a practical exam tomorrow and just in need of a bit of support as I am absolutely positively shitting myself. Written exams I can do, role playing with a pretend patient and 2 assessors watching you do a whole scenario and treatment perfectly - no no no noooooooooooooo!
Arghhhhhhhhhhhhh my anxiety is up to the MAX right now :(

good luck.
try to breathe slowly and try to think positively, I know it seems really hard to do, but it really helps to just think I can do this.
I do a lot of practical exams and performances as a musician so I know what its like and those two things get me through, without them I wouldn't be able to do it at all.

hi there,
i did the whole role playing with the pretend patient while people were watching and grading me. and yes, i was anxious. i did alot of self affirmations the morning of my test. i think they helped.
try that. write down some really positive affirmations about yourself and just repeat them before your test. i have faith that you will do fine. you just need to find that faith in yourself :)
good luvk
loves.

Just breathe. I'm sure by now you know the stuff, if it's exam time. You got this (to sound horribly cliche haha)!
No, really. I'm sure you know this, and like others have said, think positively and breathe. I know it's hard, but it'll help. You'll be in my thoughts xxx

Oh good luck. As everyone else has said just keep calm and think positively. Before you start take a deep breath and relax and all will be well.
I'm assuming you will have already done it by the time you read this so how did it go?

Congratulations!!
I don't know what exams you were doing, but whenever I have to do practical exams with patients (or actors pretending to be patients) I sort of go into acting mode and act as if I am confident and play the role, sort of like a 'simon says' game. Don't know if I'm explaining it very well, but by pretending to be what they want me to be and wearing this mask of confidence it helps. x

I am doing midwifery, so an exam where you do clinical skills on a woman pretending to be a patient. That's kind of what I tried to do and they said that I seemed really confident! Haha! If only they knew....my heart was going THUMP THUMP THUMP the whole time and I could hardly feel the lady's pulse because all I could feel was my own lol!
