sending money thats meant for something else

I just spent money on a game that was meant for my tattoo. I felt super quilty the second I did it and that triggered me. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to not spend money convulsively ? If you do that would be appreciated.

Hey,

sounds like this has upset you quite a lot. Since both things were for yourself anyway i would try not to feel too guilty about this at all. Your tattoo is going to be there forever and should be well planned and thought out anyway so a while longer of saving isn't going to do any harm.

If you really can't handle it though do you think you could take the game back? Most shops refund things as long as they're in the same condition and you've just bought it.

As for how not to spend money like this in future maybe have separate envelopes with what the money is for written on the front. So if you go into the envelope to take money out you will see it is for your tattoo and maybe think twice. Or give the money to someone else (trustworthy) for safe keeping?

Thanks.. I like that idea. I think I shall try it.Unfortunately I can bring it back to a store because the game was online.... it was stupid to because I didn't need it or anything.. I feel like a complete idiot for it

You can feel bad for it or you can think about it as a mistake and learn from it for the future.

and I agree with matthew: complete the game, return it then get the tatoo :P

Thanks... That is so true. I got the last bit of money i needed tonight by babysitting so tomorrow I am going to go make an appointment for next week :)
